How Everyday Gestures and Rituals Can Heal Emotional Distance and Strengthen Your Love
Mainly, when I think of my experiences within the relationships, many challenges come before me that almost made me unhappy. Particularly, I am reminded of the difficulty I had in dealing with the feeling of distance, which seemed to permeate every moment spent with my partner.
As days turned into weeks of turmoil, emotionally, I came to the realization that I wasn’t alone and that there are many couples out there in different predicaments which jeopardize their well-being and happiness.
It was through this stormy phase that I started looking for ways to mend the bridges between us, setting a path leading to a more rewarding relationship.
Then, I felt the loneliness in this crowded room — there in my relationship and yet so far away in mind and emotion. The more I avoided discussion about our problems, the worse I felt.
Each argument sounded hollow, and the love we had was a memory that slowly vanished into the lives we lived each day. And it was not any one moment, but the product of times when I started to feel ignored and unimportant.
