Every great journey starts with a problem. Mine was stagnation in my position at work. Working for an organization that has unbelievable potential, it is not uncommon for most ideas that seemed great to me to fall on deaf ears. It appeared the culture or scope for new ideas had no space in the internal culture of the company; I felt extremely frustrated.

I had watched as colleagues were promoted, new projects thrown their way, new places they were sent to for business meetings; accolades given them while I wished for one break. It wasn’t about recognition, but it was about knowing that I had some really good ideas to further grow the business. I knew I needed a way through which I would be able to communicate effectively if I wanted to be noticed.

The painful realization was the reason behind my being compelled to rethink my relationship with workmates and superiors. With each passage of time spent reflecting upon my stagnation, I got more determined to change the scenario. This put me on the road to success, which I am keen to share, hoping that it could inspire others in a similar situation.
